Green Lakes Syracuse, New York New York State has some of the most interesting geography. I have roots in the Syracuse New York area and have spent a lot of time studying it. Most of Upstate New York was shaped by glaciers. Green lakes really is this color. It is beautiful. The lakes are 180+ feet deep with waters that do not cycle leaving it crystal clear and a amazing blue green color. I have been hiking and taking photos all of my life. I took this photo in 2003 and intend to post several more photos I have taken in the past. I hope you enjoy them.
