I went to Environmental Science and Forestry for Landscape Architecture. It is a SUNY college located on the Syracuse University campus. I was walking around SU one day for a project and saw this fossil on the side of one of the buildings.
Some of the buildings on campus were built with the local limestone from the quarry in the area. This was one of the buildings. I think acid rain is a major problem because a year later I went to visit the same spot and the fish was gone.
(There is a chance it wasn’t really a fish and just some coral or something but I like to pretend its a fish and I made a major scientific discovery.) ahaha
