A Wandering Soul

Some artists know they need their soul to create so they sell their sanity instead. -Connie B.

Soapstone Lake, Oswald West State Park & Camp 18

Took a nice hike today. Saw Soapstone Lake for the first time and loved it. We also went to Oswald West but tried a different trail in today. Went over a suspension bridge that was scary considering how fast the creek was moving. I have some mediocre iPhone photos I will be posting shortly. Can’t wait for my camera to come back repaired. :D

Camp 18I love the colors in this photo. It would be awesome to have sculptures like this in my house.

The Marrionberry Cobbler at Camp 18 in Elsie, OR
Camp 18 is a must whenever we have a guest visiting. I love their BBQ beef ribs and marrionberry cobbler. It is a awesome giant log cabin with tons of old logging equipment and carved wood sculptures. I love the tables made from giant slabs of wood. I only wish they served steins of beer at these epic woodsmen tables. Ha!

Camp 18, Oregon

We went to this amazing restaurant that was hand built out of local logs in the 70’s. It was stunning and the food was out of this world! I really like all the sculptures and old logging equipment in the front as well.
