The Gorge
The Gorge
Two old men watching one another.
The Gorge in all its 86 degree sunny day glory.
There were some impressive setups filming on the trail today. I felt humble with my little camera. One of the biggest setups was a camera on like a crane arm attached to a Porsche SUV. I have no idea what was going on but I had a feeling it was a whole lotta awesome!
The View from Tom McCall Preserve
A very exciting hike coming up today! Did the same place last year at this time. You will have to look in my archives to figure out where I am heading. :D
This is my favorite time of the hiking year because I get to plan all my hikes around what is blooming where. I am getting so pumped up to hike the Gorge and see the Lupines, Arrowleaf Balsamroot, Chocolate Lilly, Prairie Stars and Dutchmen’s Breeches.
The forests smell like warm pines and strawberry rhubarb pie. The trails are soft and wet with the spring rain. I can stand in the warm sun and look at snowy peeks.
I can’t wait to get coffee at 10 Speed in Mosier and check out the totem pole there. I can’t wait to drive the twisting roads in our Mini with the sunroof open and the dogs making huge sniffing sounds in the back. It is going to be an awesome spring!!
