This tiny little plant is actually in the Dogwood family it is rare and endangered in some areas. I felt lucky to see it blooming on this hike.
Yellow Dogwood
If you are not yet good at spotting dogwood and want to be a neat way to tell if it is one is to take a leaf and tear it horizontally. There will be small silk fibers that pull like bubble gum when the leaf is torn. :)
More Dogwood. I know I should get over it all ready. lol
