βThe rain to the wind said,
You push and I’ll pelt.’
They so smote the garden bed
That the flowers actually knelt,
And lay lodged—though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt.β

This fence is one of my all time favorite fences. The house looks like it belongs to Snow White. So cute!

Once
We found a secret trail today to Mist Falls. It was a unmaintained steep but short trip up the side of the gorge and well worth it! At the bottom there is a old fireplace from a cabin that is no longer there. I loved loved loved it.
I really enjoy the history of places. When I was in college for Landscape Architecture I would go to the Historical Society and flip through old photos and news paper clippings to find the history of a site I was doing a design for.
I heard there used to be a mansion in Rogers Park here in Forest Grove, Oregon. My research was just a Google search away! Here is a photo of the old Rogers Residence. There is a little history on it as well.
I always wonder what a house looked like on the inside. The best houses are the ones that no one has touched or remodeled.
When I look at old houses I almost feel nostalgic as if I once was present in that time and long to go back.
